Carrie Carter, MD

CARRIE L. CARTER, MD

Dr. Carter graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1996 and received her medical degree from UT Southwestern School of Medicine in 2001, where she was awarded the Rolland Reynolds Award for the medical student with the best bedside manner. After devoting a year to teaching public health while establishing a medical clinic in Peru, Dr. Carter completed her internship and residency at UT Southwestern and was board certified in Internal Medicine in 2005. Following training, Dr. Carter joined the UT Southwestern faculty, where she divided her time between serving as a consultant to surgical sub-specialists caring for complicated post-operative patients, teaching medical students and residents on the wards of Parkland Hospital, and seeing patients in the outpatient setting. In 2006 she made the decision to leave academic medicine to pursue her passion for primary care. She joined the esteemed internal medicine group, the Harvill-Tschumy Clinic at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. In 2011, Dr. Carter began practicing concierge medicine as part of the E. Barrow Medical Group, the first concierge internal medicine group in Dallas. She established the CC:MD Concierge Medical Team in 2022.

Carol Croft. MD

CAROL CROFT, MD

Dr. Croft graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors from the University of California Santa Barbara. She received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 and completed her residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern in 1995. Dr. Croft was a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and held the Baldridge Family Professorship in Internal Medicine and Preventive Care. During her time at UT Southwestern, she has served as program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program, University Hospitals Quality and Safety Officer and several other leadership roles. Dr. Croft’s clinical interests include preventive care, perioperative evaluation of complicated surgical patients, clinical effectiveness and professionalism. She is passionate about patient safety and patient-centered care. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Medical Informatics Association. Among her numerous honors and awards, she is most proud of the UT Southwestern Leaders in Clinical Excellence Institutional Service Award in 2020.



HALEY SCHOENBERGER, MD

Dr. Schoenberger graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2015. She received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Public Health in 2019 with Research Honors, a distinction awarded to only 5% of each graduating class. During medical school, she received the John D. and Virginia Riesch Scholarship awarded to one medical student who has “demonstrated empathy, recognition of colleagues, passion for learning and the desire to share knowledge with colleagues and patients.” She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in 2022, distinguishing herself as both a clinician and researcher. After residency, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty, caring for acutely ill and medically complicated patients as a hospitalist at Parkland Hospital. Because of her strong desire to form long-term relationships with patients, she joined the CC:MD Concierge Medical Team in 2025.
